I stumbled onto the first book, enjoyed it and went on to book two. Now I will go on to book three, if it is out yet. The characters are well developed and the author does a good job of pulling you into the story. If you've read book one you will be happy with book two. I enjoyed the first two books and I want to know what happens next.Product details

Endless Flight Benjamin Ashwood Book 2 AC Cobble 9781536834741 Books Reviews
I really like this author. The characters have well developed personalities, they interact well together, and the conversations between the characters is very well done. Adverbs used to describe speech patterns makes it easy to visualize the characters having their conversations. Good for adult and young adult readers. Story line definitely keeps the reader interested and anxious to discover what will happen next and keeps the reader guessing as what comes next is not easily discerned. Looking forward to the next book.
First off a little of my reading history so you know what I'm comparing this/these to.
Started with Goodkind then moved to Sanderson, and Jordan's WoT, and a couple others as well; Fiest, Rothfuss, B. Weeks. If you like this I'd suggest those as well. Also, if you liked those I'd highly recommend this series as well.
This was an unexpected and thoroughly enjoyable series. I had finished up a previous book and fell into the "book hole." I was about to take a trip and wanted an audio book to keep me company. [Side note, the narrator did did an excellent job] So I stumbled across this and was rather pleased after the first book.
Yes, this follow the standard fantasy arc which is a little gripe, but <shrug> it is hard to deviate from. The characters are likeable and the story progresses at a good pace. I never felt board or found the events dull. I'm sure there are some muguffins and ex-machina moments but I read through this without batting an eye at any. My only real gripe is the main characters' naivety at world events and how incredulous he reacts when these things don't go his way. [I want to smack him on the back of his head. "You should know this!"]
But overall this was a great book and I'll recommend this when my friends sit around asking for advice on their next read. If you're reading this, I implore you to do so as well.
I enjoyed the first book in this series largely because I liked the main characters. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this second book. The plot was much more complex, the characters continued to develop, and the explanations of the different magic presented made it very believable. I felt like it showed a lot of background research on the part of the author. There were things left unfinished but that is to be expected with what is clearly a continuing saga. Interested to see where this story goes.
I want to give it a five rating .. I really do... there are flashes of brilliance here and a really, really good story.. it's just that the author seemed to have run out of patience and didn't refine the pure gold under all of the glaring errors. Go back, do a heavy edit and revision on this and you'll have something in line with brandon sanderson ... as is, there is a lot pulling me out of the immersion of the story which is a shame since I am fighting between staying for the story or putting it down because I know it just isn't going to meet my expectations as is and I can't really afford to go to deep into an expensive series that won't measure up .. I would recommend this if you're looking for something new and can't find another good series at the moment but price vs. errors .. don't commit unless you have Unlimited and a lot of patience.
These books are absolutely fantastic. I will be leaving the same review for each of them as I feel just as strongly about them all. These books took all the best elements of books that I like and somehow turned them all into something brilliant. He is able to up the pace throughout the entire series, which I find amazing. There are No lulls or parts that drag, it just keeps getting more and more intense and left me wanting to just keep on reading throughout the night and following day in order to finish them all. These books are really something magical. I truly believe that I have found a new favorite author, seriously. These books kept me entranced the entire time I was reading and that is something truly unusual for me. I cannot wait for the next books in the series. I find myself checking every day, literally, to see if a new book has been released. No matter which genre of books you like, I am sure that you will like these. I am SO glad I purchased them and will gladly be rereading them in the future, as they are truly fine novels and deserve to be reread. Thank you AC Cobble for taking me on a wonderful adventure. You are truly one of a kind.
The first book was a fantastic intro to the characters and world they inhabit. The pace was slower because of that and I was happy to see the 2nd book go a lot faster. The author gives a really clear view and loved it so far. I can't wait for the next one.
at 78, I've been reading sci fi and like literature for a long time, so, maybe my voice counts. I've read the first five books of this Benjamin Ashwood series and I found the whole series to be more than just a good read. One of the reasons I have a ongoing interest in these more imaginative forms of literature is there is a way to express new ideas within a very good story (which this is, good plot, very good and believe able characters which become friends as one reads the series) and in this case it has to to with the development of will. Of ones personal power of concentration which results in a new will which really set me to thinking, regarding the development of my own will for this or that in my 78 years, and where I have not developed anything at all. But that is not the reason for you to read these books unless the idea grabs you too, they are as good a read as you are going to find, just be prepared not to put a book down, one through five, until we have to wait, I hope not to long, for the conclusion. Thank you AC Cobble.
